Don't you love it when you stumble across something unexpected and delightful? That's what I did last night...
I took pity on Hub's pleas not to make him watch ANOTHER Jovi concert vid during our usual Friday nite TV-on-the-couch date, and rented Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Live at Alabama Hall, Munich, Germany, 1985 from Netflix. He likes SSJ and had a great time at the show in December, so I figured it was a win-win situation. He would enjoy, and I knew there was a little JBJ cameo in there somewhere.
DAMN, was I in for a treat!!!!
The main show was in 1985, sans Jonny B, but the DVD extras included a mini-concert of its own--10 tracks recorded at the Stone Pony in 1991. For those of you who are E Street fans, Max Weinberg was on drums. And our Jonny (with fabulous New-Jersey era hair) bounded out onto the stage to jam along to "Working Too Hard".
To say it was a dynamic performance would be a MAJOR understatement -- Man ALIVE, the energy!!! You could see the pure joy in Jon's face as he just rocked out with his hero. Oh, and you have to check out Bobby Bandiera's FABULOUS mullet!!! LOL!!!
Anyway, here are some caps I did of the show -- they're not the greatest because neither the camera nor the performers EVER stood still, but you'll get the idea.
Check out Bobby's Rockin' Mullet!!! ;D
The rest of the caps are here:

And if you'd like to view the performance.... go here:

And I HIGHLY recommend the entire DVD -- two awesome, Rockin' shows. Check it out!
