If the AFL is no longer and not coming back, would Jon get to keep the trophy with the Soul being the last to win it, or would it go into a museum of "old relics, or just wind up in someone's storage closet if it hasn't already?

Good question, I don't know how that works. I was also wondering if the players ever got their championship rings, sure hope so. I was at the Wachovia Center a couple weeks ago and was looking to see if the Soul had their banner hanging but nope I didnt see it there. So sad how all this went down.  |

I did read somewhere where the team received their championship rings in the mail.
It's sad that they didn't get to have a real celebration with presentation of the rings and the banner and concert and such. I think they were cheated out of that celebration with the fans. It's good they did get the parade, though.

It will probably be auctioned off if the league files bankruptcy. If not it's probably wrapped up and put away in someones attic already. I understand that the team received their Championship ring in the mail and that Munsy wears his to remind himself how much fun he had in the AFL. RIP AFL, we will miss you...  |
