Alright, Ladies... need some "expert" opinions here...
I have some homework to do this weekend, and I need some help. It involves choosing ONE Bon Jovi song for a... er... "recital" of sorts...
See, I started taking pole dancing lessons. Yes, you read that right. POLE DANCING lessons. One of my Smartass GalPals gave me a gift certificate for 3 pole dancing lessons for my birthday. Yes, my 41ST birthday. Sick sense of humor, that one has. I think it was actually more of a dare than a gift. And I'm not one to back down from a dare.
Or maybe it was actually a gift for the Hub....
Anyway, my first lesson was Tuesday...went OK, was at an actual dance studio. No bar, no sticky floor, pole was actually clean and shiny... so far, so good. I discovered, quite to my surprise, I'm actually not bad at the shimmying/bumping/grinding thing (must be all the FanFic I've read), but my arm strength is not NEARLY what it used to be. Shit, strippers are STRONG! (LOL!)
So, now I have "homework." I'm supposed to bring two songs to class with me on Tuesday, to put together a "routine." (God, can't believe I'm doing this... wait 'til YOUR birthday, Ju!)
Anywho, I'm gonna do one Jovi and one non-Jovi song. My non--Jovi is "Soul to Soul" by Bang Tango. (NOW we'll see who among you knows hair bands!)
And as for my Jovi song... Well, Hell. I have no idea. There are too many to choose from.
So, sound off... what do y'all think would be a good poledance song? And let me say right now that I am NOT dancing to "Let's Make it Baby." I would freakin' DIE. And maybe get arrested.
Looking forward to the suggestions.....

Well, "Lets Make It baby" was the 1st that popped into my (sick) mind....
*sigh* but since you already seem to be dead set against it... how about "Dirty Little Secret" or "Hush"

First, I think this is an awesome gift/dare. Wish my friends were as inventive as yours.
Second, Bang Tango, holy crap talk about going back for a song... Good choice though...
As for a Jovi song, how about Damned or Something to Believe In from the One Wild Night album? Or One Wild Night?
And maybe if you got arrested, Jon would come and do a thorough "search" on you. LOL

But you are abso-freakin'-lutely INSANE if you think I'm gonna get this on VIDEO!  I'm a Cop, for cryin' out loud! I know how to get in and out of "situations" without leaving a trail of evidence... |

Now THAT I would agree to video!!!! Ladies, I'm likin' what I'm hearin' so far with the suggestions... will have to try a couple out this weekend (sans pole) to see what works tempo-wise. Don't think Hub will mind... And to those of you who remember Bang Tango - ROCK ON!!! *devil horns held high*... ;D |

How about 'We got it going on'? The guitar solo always makes me dance, I just can't stand still....well, and it would work on a pole I think.

Well, well.....I agree with "lay your hands" because of the intro. Very nice for doing some sexy movements....but I love "Dirty little Secret" I think I would choose this one. I hope it helps..... Aren't we going to watch a video of that?  ?? ;D ;D |

I think "Living in Sin" would work well for a pole dance. *G* I have a friend who took a similar class with a group of girlfriends as a surprise for their husband's homecoming from an overseas deployment. They all went out for a couple of drinks first to loosen up, and she said they had a great time. Have fun with it and good luck!
