Real Life!!!
Don't how many of you remember me, it's been so long since I have been here, there or anywhere for that matter other than stuck in my crazy little world call real life. Back in Nov, I believe it was... It's been so long my memory is a little off so please forgive me. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer that had already metastasized to her bones. Then my daughter who is going though a divorce and was just separated from the army in June got a job just out side of Boston as a Koran and French linguist for some intelligence agency that all very hush hush and all. She is living in Concord and she and my grandson are thriving and doing well. ;D
Then the holidays hit and between my mother's billion and one doctors appointments and oh did I mention my son was getting married on January 2nd, so along with that and all that goes with that It's been a tough road and yet bitter sweet.
And it was also the year I lost my father back in April.
So good buy 2009 hello 2010!!
And for those who don't know me if you haven't figured it out yes I am a
Any way I digress...
On January second my son was married in a beautiful ceremony to a beautiful young woman who he has been with for 10 years, since high school ( sound like someone we know and love) It was a great way to start the year. ;D My mother is doing better at this time so we are just hoping things continue to be positive, she is 80 years old but she is a fighter. So we are cheering her on...
Thanks for putting up with my long dissertation of my last few months. I'm usually not this wordy. LOL. I usually just hit and run.
Hope to be around more so that I can stay in the loop and know whats going on with our band and my girls and I also hope to see some of you out on the road with the new tour looming.
So BIG HUGS to you, old and new and remember it's only rock and roll but we like it. so
And if you have forgotten or don't know me yet, I am the one.
Love you all,
Denise
Ps this is for mysterytrain to bring a smile to her face...
PSS and the reason for my title of this thread is due to my interpretation of the song Thorn In My Side...
My favorite verse is:
Thorn in my side
You just won't quit
Once in a while when I crack a smile
You rub my face in it
Thorn in my side
You won't let me run
God bless the fights
That I've lost and won
