Anyone heard this before? Just found this and was wondering if anyone knows anything more about it. It says that Richie and Jon will be performing. Unfortunately, it is invitation only. Yeah, I blogged about this last week. Apparently now that Jon's canceled the Soul dinner, they may actually play. And I didn't know who Akon is. Apparently he's some hip-hop rapper type and a bit of a jerk. And it's invitation only, but nothing's stopping us from stalking the building  |

Hath, are they even still doing the free concert for the fans, or did Jon (god forbid) reneg on his promise to the fans? I hope that is not the case.

There are some pretty unhappy campers over at BSWJBJ right now..  There are so many disappointed people with the cancellation of the Soul charity event. |

Well, I thought they want to do the Soul concert next year. Shortly before the new season (2010) starts.
And Akon, isn't that the guy who was in the news because he presented a lace underwear set to a girl he had on stage during one of his concerts and nearly fucked her on stage in a huge bed? Problem girl was 15 and parents not amused!!

So the free concert was tied to the start of the Soul season, so we expect that in 2010, assuming the AFL comes back online.
I think the FC show is safe because it isn't a FanClub event. It's the MasterCard sweepstakes concert. Matt was just capitalizing on it. I think they couldn't cancel that without a whole lot of problems with MasterCard.
As for Stalker Alert ... uh... hell YEAH! lmao

LMAO! If they do cancel it, I would hope they would have enough courtesy to the fans to give them enough notice to either change or cancel airline plans. There are some people coming from a long way away, they have to realize that. It would be very obnoxious and inconsiderate to not give them enough notice. It is not always at Jon's convenience. It is also the fans, I would think. They keep getting the fans mad at them for these little things and they are going to find it hard to sell tickets to these things anymore. JMO. (I am not referring to selling tickets to concerts, I am referring to the extra events like this. They have cancelled quite a few lately). |

How awful for those fans. I feel so bad for them. :(They probably can't get a refund either. When you hear, I would love to know what is going on. It sure is disappointing the disregard that has been shown to the fans lately and the financial hardships it is putting them under. |
