But we are OKAY!! Every house on my street except mine, my mom's, and the neighbor's across the street have some sort of damage. Some aren't even still there...just their steps.
The tornado ripped thru our little community just before 9pm Friday night. Even the fire dept. took some damage.
There's power lines down all over the damn place though, so they say that it might be next week before we have power. I won't be able to get online except at work...but I'll check in with ya'll while I'm there and keep everyone posted.
I just wanted to make sure that anyone that saw it on the news would know that we're okay...but if you see stuff on the national news about East End, Arkansas....that's us!

The electric company worked a miracle!!
Our lights are back on...although there's more severe weather coming thru again!
The weather man is even now telling various areas of the state that they have tornadoes heading their way. Right now, round two appears to be all around us...but nothing on top of us!
Keep praying for us!

This has definitely been an experience I never tught I'd go through. I'm used to seeing and hearing about the devistation on the news not driving down the street, it is very surreal. We didn't get anything but thunderstorms in our area, I honestly don't know if any tornado's hit anywhere else last night b/c I was in bed at about 7Pmb/c I had been up since 6am Friday.

I'm glad you girls are ok and you don't have any major damage at your house. I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope the other tornados will go for another route.

Like Lucy said....last night, was just thunderstorms...although there were tornadoes in other parts of the state last night.
Tonight on the CBS evening national news they showed a pic at the end of the tornado coverage of the damage to our little fire department....it hit our street first...then cut across some wooded areas (with houses) then cut up through East End and hit the fire dept. and caused some damage on the main street through the little community...and damaged one of the gas stations...some of the areas out here still don't have power.
