Octuplets mom

Is the octuplets mom, driving anyone else nuts? I mean she can barely take care of the children she has, and doesn't have enough room for the six. Now she has 8 more to take care off. I think the dr that did this for her should have his or her license revoked. I guess it bugs me more as I want a child and can't have one. My husband is unable to conceive, low & slow sperm. So we thought about adoption, but my husband is over the age they allow to adopt (50). Inveto is 10 thousand a pop, with no guarantees, I don't have that kind of cash. Here I have the room, love and financial means to take care of a child and can't have one. Yet, this girl can have 14 she can't even care for. Life is just appalling sometimes!

I was shocked when I heard it. First I thought something went wrong with the treatment she had, then they said she already has six kids and did this on purpose...somewhere I heard that her idol is Angelina Jolie and she wants to live like her. Well, tell you something Ms. Jolie has the finances to take care of so many kids...and she only has six and not 14 as far as I know. I feel sorry for the kids...what kind of life can they have?

You know what I'm glad someone posted about this. Now I hear that she is facing foreclosure on her home. Now I don't mean to sound heartless...but I have a hard time feeling sorry for her, she knew her financial situation before she did this treatment...and her mother said she is willing to come out of retirement to help financially but the mother of all these kids refuses to work b/c taking care of 14 kids is a full time Job....again she knew what her financial situation was, maybe she should of been more concerned about taking care of what children she already had and keep a roof over their heads before she worried about having more children. Its one thing if someone gets into financial problems by no fault of their own but IMO she brought this on herself and she should get herself out of it.

I just have the feeling that sooner or later the kids will end up in foster care!

I'm thinking that she did it to try and cash in on all the freebies these high multiple mother's seem to get...or maybe I'm just being cynical.

Anyone else hear welfare calling? As far as I'm concerned the whole thing is unfair to the babies and the taxpayers. Not sure what the doctor was thinking!

If she really did that ...wow, how can you be so stupid? I don't get it.

I don't have a problem with it that families who get quadruplet or quintuplet get a little help...I know that a company here in Germany did that a couple years ago...they made sure the family had enough diapers for the first two years...I think that's really sweet....but that case was completely different.

The couple tried for years to have kids, they both had jobs (she stopped working when the babies were there and started part time again when they came to school), they had savings, they had a house....the doctors advised her to put all six embryos in (more isn't allowed in Germany, if I'm not mistaken), cause in her case it wasn't even sure that one would survive. She just prayed that one would make it and made clear if this wasn't working they would go for adoption. And then they had six kids. They were really surprised. Four boys and two girls. And what they showed on TV really stressful, her mother was living next door and the dad of all those kids took six month of work to help at home, till the kids were out of the biggest trouble. It was funny to watch, he organized everything, had lists to make sure every baby eats regulary...and today the kids are ten and just sweet.

A TV team is visiting them once a year, before christmas, to show how everything had changed so far...they are happy, they wanted kids and not just out of wrong motives, but they are also saying that it is very difficult to find some time for yourself as a couple, epescially when the kids are still small...so for two hours every evening they take a walk just to be there for each other, while one of the grandmothers is watching the kids.

Thats how I feel Liz. This foreclosure thing didn't just happen over night, she knew it was getting close to that and if they weren't looking for someone to bail them out, they wouldn't be talking about it on TV. She got herself into this debt she should get herself out. I also agree with you that its the kids that will be suffering, All her kids. Its unfair for her to knowingly put her children in a situation like this not to mention selfish. I gonna stop here b/c I could rant on and on about this news story lol. It just really urks me when stories like this come up.

That is what I am thinking...the moms with the multiple births get so much money and supplies from people everywhere who try to help...they haven't paid their morgage for 10 months so it seems as if she got pregnant as a way of getting free stuff so she wouldn't have to work...I hate thinking that but that is the way it seems. Someone will come through for her...she went and got her nails done and was seen buying expensive makeup. That money could by food and clothes for her kids...not false nails or whatever she had done.
