My eldest daughter just left home to travel around the world for a year with 3 of her friends.  We said a tear full goodbye to her early this morning at the airport. She is heading to Mexico city first then doing a Mayan trail thro' Mexico, Guatamala & Belise then back to Cancun. The they are going to go thro' South America and at some stage on to Oz & New Zealand, then China & HOME  Hell I'm jealous too I'd love to be doing that trip !!!! Mattie |

Feel happy for her but it's hard to stay at home when your sister goes for a long time...Well, Smile and think about all the gifts she's going to bring back to you!!  And please, tell her to travel safely. |

Hi & thanks everyone, I'm feeling a bit better about her trip now, I think it was saying goodbye to her at the airport the got me so weepy  I know she'll have a great time but I can't help being a bit anxious about her. We got one message from her saying that she arrived at their hotel in Mexico City but her phone does not work there, and nothing since. They should be on their Mayan trip now so I don't expect to hear anything for 3 weeks  I'll just have to be patient  Mattie |

Yea!!! She left a message on facebook to-day ;D ;D ;D They are having a ball & have now moved from Mexico City to Cancun & have seen some Mayan pyramids at Chichen Itza & gone swimming in a 'cenote' Mammy is happy for now  |

;D ;D ;D I went out to the cinema this evening with my daughter J & while we were out she rang home & hubby was talking to her for about 30 min. she got cut off just before we got home  but she was still on line so I Chatted to her on facebook they are in Guatamala now & have been having a ball, one of her friends on the trip is doing a blog so we are hearing all about what they are getting up to!!! plus are seeing some photos too ;D They are going to Belize next for about a week then on to South America they will be in Peru & Brazil I told her she should try to go to see Bon Jovi there LOL And would you believe it they are then on to Australia & New Zealand !!!!!!! hmmmmmm. |

I've been talking & seeing my daughter on skype (I love technology!!!) C & friends have moved on to Peru & completed an Inca Jungle trek biking & hiking to Macchu Picchu and Waynapicchu, proud & jealous mom here ;D
She posted lots of pics on facebook & her friend S is keeping the Blog going so we are with them (kind of) a few days late.
They have now moved on to Cocabana, Bolivia on lake Titicaca.
They are having a blast ;D
