Ok...we did this last year and everyone had a GREAT time. So, I'm going to try and do it again. For any new people, here's how it works....
If you want to do this send me a PM with your address. I will randomly draw names and give everyone a person to send presents to. You should send your person one gift a week for the 4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You should try to send them out so that they get one gift a week. The only thing that's changing this year is that for the first 3 weeks, there is a MAXIMUM amount of $10....you can spend any amount you want up to $10. You can NOT spend any more. Then for the 4th week, there is a minimum of $10 but a maximum of $25....so you have to spend at least $10 but no more than $25. The 1st present should be received by your recipient between Nov. 29th and Dec. 5th. The second between Dec 6th and Dec. 12th. The 3rd between Dec.13th and Dec. 19th. The last one should be received between Dec. 20th and Dec. 26th.
I'm fully aware that I may have over explained that....but last year I had to explain it 15 different times in PM's and want to make sure that everyone gets it this time....lol.
Last year, some of us posted what we received from our Secret Santa...and some included pics. I'm going to bump the thread to give you ideas for what to send. The gifts can be as simple as a card or candy....or it can be something you make that is very special....as long as it doesn't exceed $10 ....until the last gift.
The deadline to let me know that you want to do this and get me your address is November 24th. I will then draw names and send you your person's info so that you can get the first gift and get it in the mail.
Again this year, I will try to pair up people in the States with people in the States, and people in Europe with others in Europe to help keep postage down. If you would prefer to send to someone in the US or Europe then let me know.
Let's have fun with this again this year! Let the holidays commence!!

Ok, everyone should have their assignments in their PM box. If I missed someone let me know ASAP.
Again this year, I gave Lucy to two people so that when the first two gifts come I'll let her choose one....that's who she'll continue to get gifts from the remainder of the game. I'll take the other gift....and that will be my Santa for the duration.
Have fun with this! We only have 8 participants this year and last year we had 9. I was really hoping this would grow into a huge deal....oh well, maybe next year.

Ok mine's posted too a little later than I expected as it rained on frozen roads & turned them into ice rinks. Got to work before that happened but couldn't leave work to get to post office. Got home ok after it thawed out ;D Supposed to be worse tomorrow TG it's Sat. |

YAY!!! I got my first gift! THANK YOU SECRET SANTA!!! Its a framed pic of Jon. According to the clue sheet that my secret santa sent along with the gift, this pic will be hanging in the NJ hall of fame. Last week was so nuts I forgot to tell y'all what goodies Santa sent me!!! I got a pretty charm necklace with a peace sign and a heart on it (which Cattelet promptly tried to steal) and an adorable pair of reindeer (MOOSE!) socks! Made me very happy.
