Well, I have to say: NO!
In big letters. I didn't have it at school, I had to learn french which I hated. But I know some of you speak Spanish. I need a simple sentence, but I can't find a translation for it anywhere on the net. So I tried it with my language comprehension...I had Latin afterall...Spanish developed from there, shouldn't be so difficult...well wrong. I'm not getting anywhere with it, so HELP!
How do you say: "Where are they?" in Spanish?
I thought maybe "Dónde están ustedes?" but somehow it sounds wrong.

Kris, PM Novocaine! She is from Spain! My VERY limited Spanish makes me think that "A donde estan?" sounds better.

Hey Kris!! The translation is "¿Dónde están (ellos)?" For people and things. For example : I had some books...ummmh where are they?" -"(yo tenía algunos libros...ummmh, ¿dónde están?" or, "Mary says that they don't find the way home, where are they now?" -"María dice que no encuentran el camino a casa, ¿dónde están ahora?", this one with the meaning of situation. (Note we use the 2 question marks, one at the beggining and another one at the end, and, as in French, a lot of accents!!) In French it could be " Où sont elles/ils? or Où se trouvent?(elles/ils) If you give me the full sentence or text I could help you, if you want. Sorry for the awful examples !! it was the first one that comes into my head!
