Ok, I need to share this.
My mom has to work today, so she told me I need to prepare the potato salad for dinner today. Not a real problem for, except, that in my opinion it does never taste like the one my mom makes.
So after trying and tasting it for a while and wondering how I can make it taste more like my Mom's, my dad walks in. Grabs a fork and 'steals' some of the salad from the bowl.
"How does it taste, dad?"
"Just like your Mom's. Can I have more before she comes home?"
I still know it doesn't taste like hers though, but it seems I'm at least so close that my dad can no longer taste, because believe me he is brutal honest when it comes to my cooking.
Next time I let him try it right away....and no he didn't get another bite. "Just like your Mom." he said grumbling. I take that as a compliment. He is pouting in his office now. LMAO

I cook as my mother teached me, and believe me, what I cook, never, NEVER!, tastes in the same way but my brother, some months ago said something like your dad do..."hey, It's like mom's cooking!" yes, a compliment...but I'm still think that it doesn't taste like mom's...

;D Take the compliment. In my family, that's NOT a good thing! Mom gets annoyed because hers doesn't taste like mine!
