Ok everybody. It's time. In less than 24 hours - at 9am tomorrow morning to be exact (3am New York time) - my oral exam starts. 3,5 hours of nightmare! I'm not sure I'll survive that! I'm an emotional wrack! And I guess my parents are rather happy by now that I'll be leaving in a couple hours to drive back to the city where I went to college the last seven years. My mom was a great help yesterday, she tried to work with me through my law stuff even though she doesn't know anything about it. It was really sweet. My dad is just getting on my nerves with his stupid, complete out of context comments. Every now and then I hear my mom hissing at him "Don't distract the kid! Don't make her angry!" So, for the sake of my whole family I really hope I pass tomorrow and I didn't spend the last seven years at college for nothing.  So, if you are up early or still up late....PLEASE send good vibes, thoughts and Bon Jovi karma my way. Thanks a trembling Kris |

Sorry, girls I was just so beat yesterday evening when I came home, I just fell into my bed. And.....YES I PASSED! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!! But that was one hard piece of work! We were still in it at 2 pm! My parents who came to surprise me and were waiting outside, were slowly going crazy. When I finally saw them my dad was sitting in his car behind the wheel with his cellphone cramped in his hand, while my mom was doing the nervous-walk outside. After they tested us in civil law we all were sure we wouldn't make it. We had no idea what to do with the first case they gave us, the judge who was asking us the questions in that part looked a little confused and annoyed. I had the feeling he thought we were the most stupid students he ever tested. lol I was so happy when he let me start with the second case, I knew at least what to do with it and I really needed to make some points. The only professor who was there, was my sweet, sweet criminal law professor. Before he started with his part - criminal law - he told us everything is still in the green zone, I wanted to kiss him. That way we knew at least that we all passed the civil law part. Criminal law was fun...as always. I can't barely remember anything from that 1h 15min. After that it was time for public law and the drama started again. We were all visibly shaking while waitng after that part in another room outside again. And they let us wait 25 fucking minutes before they called us back in and told us we all had passed. What a day! I can't believe I'll be doing it all in two plus years again for my second exam! LOL |

Thanks. Well, I celebrated last night...can't remember what happened after the bottle of champagne! lol Now I need to get my letter of application ready. Tons of paper work when you wanna do legal internship (Rechtsreferendariat - I'm not sure this is the best translation, but the other ones were even worse in my opinion. lol)....anyway besides other things I need a certificate of good conduct category zero, which means you will not see it before your future boss hasn't see it. I hope there's nothing in it....  |

OMG!! I didn't tell you about the best thing.... my parents got me a white gold ring with a brilliant in it. It's just a small one...but Wow!!!! I think they must be really proud! Oh, and the date of my oral exam is engraved. |
