As you know, I passed my exam two months ago! Well, right now everybody is waiting for the invitation to the ceremony where we will get our degree.
My best friend called me before Easter and told me that she has her invitation, that the ceremony will at May 6 at 2 pm. I thought I'll get mine in a couple days! Nope, didn't happen.
So, I called my faculty this morning. And the lady at the Student Advisory Service told me that I'm not marked yellow on her list, which means I didn't do the exam for which the college is responsible.
(A couple years ago the state decided that it will only test 70% for the exam and that the universities have the right to test the other 30%, which is like a major you choose for a year and then do an essay, an oral exam and a normal case solving...nothing big compared to the 'real' exam later.)
I told her I did it and the state knows that as well, because they sent me two copies of my degree so I can already send out my application and don't have to wait for the original degree. And you only get the degree from the state if you can prove that you did the part at college. Which I could, because I got a certification for it!
So, finally she starts searching in her computer for my results and...oh, what a surprise they exist!! Grrr!!
She tells me how sorry she is and promises me to send out the invitation and tell the state examination office to add me to the list of graduates at May 6.
I know I will go crazy until they call my name. I don't wanna be the one who has to stand up infront of all the other graduates, families, professors and the Attorney General and ask 'What about me?'
