official statement at the BonJovi facebook site www.facebook.com/BonJoviIn response to questions about Richie Sambora & Bon Jovi's upcoming performance schedule, the band released this statement: "Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

I say good for Richie for dealing with this before it has the potential to ruin his life and career.

I'm glad Richie is getting the help he needs. But seeing BJ without Richie is not the same. BJ is Jon, Richie, David and Tico. I feel bad for the fans that are going to see less of a show with Richie gone. Not that the show won't be good, it will, but different.

I'm sad. I agree, Bon Jovi are Richie, Dave, Tico and Jon. And it sound to me too a long time without see him. And Jon don't let Bobby play alone, he's got a new guitarist....It makes me think .... I hope Richie gets well soon, really. Music has nothing to do, but (let me do the comparison) it's like Duran Duran without Andy Taylor... it will never be the same.
