Here's the thing...
Hath and I "have lunch" every Tuesday and Friday to discuss our stories and share what we've written with each other, even share ideas and give help when needed. Lately, we haven't been doing much writing though, and haven't had anything to share with the other. SO....we've decided on a penalty for when we don't "follow the rules".
If we don't have 500 words written each time we meet for lunch (on the phone) we have to post 5 pics (one of each band member and a band pic) each day until the next time we have lunch and meet the 500 word requirement.
We made the deal with each other today....so, if Tuesday's lunch time comes without either or both of us having written 500 words, then we have to post the pics.
We figure having all of you watching us to see if we do what we're supposed to do will help with incentive. So, with the world (so to speak) watching, there's a bit of shame factor involved as well.
Now, you are free to leave comments on this thread, but please do NOT post pics, unless you would like to join us in our crusade. If you would like to get in on this let me know, we will be happy to oblige with an email circle to share the 500 words ...twice a week....and then if you don't have it, you'll be sentenced to pic posting as well.

Oh, and Hath...we didn't discuss this on the phone....but I'm thinking we should make it a rule that we can't duplicate pics....otherwise, the punishment would be too easy. What do you think?

Well...I'm sorry to report that I've already turned in my 500+ words for tomorrow's lunch ...even though I'll be on the road to Nashville and won't be able to "have lunch" with Hath. Sorry, girlfriend!

Somehow, I managed to write my 500 words this week, between the doctor's appointments and the site seeing. I sent them to Hath by email (even though we didn't talk on the phone again today)...so I'm off the hook for pics this time too! WOOT!

Yeah, that's gotta be it! I'm not concerned with the minor inconvenience of posting pics....it's that if everyone sees I've had to post pics then they know I didn't do '"my homework" ....lol
And btw, I've done my homework for today....so no pics from me this time either...lol

I made it this week...by the skin of my teeth. And, from talking to Hath, I know that she has met her "quota" as well. So, no pics this time either.

heads up everyone.... at one of our recent lunches I decided to up my required word count to 750, because I decided there was no way I was going to meet the MI challenge deadline if I didn't.
And today....well I don't have one new word written....and lunch is in an hour and a half...and I only have til the end of our lunch call to finish...so that gives me two and a half hours to do it...not sure I'm gonna make it.
Check back later to see if I had to post pics or not....lol

I have the first 1200 words of my Mission Impossible entry done (hopefully I can get the requisite 7500 words before the deadline). Already have 4700+ words...and mine has tons of sex. lol Wondering though if I should rate it?...Maybe better, then everyone knows what to expect.....has to be NC-17 though. |

No, sorry We've been meeting our quotas, and have mutually decided on a break over the holidays. We're on hiatus until January 3rd, then we have to start writing again, and have something for that Friday (the 6th). Let me tell you, I for one, definitely have been more productive with this "threat" over my head. I have about 5000 words left to write on Believe, and am 1/2 way through the challenge. Hopefully, when T and I start our next collab, we can keep it up! |
