Hi,
I know this might be a little odd subject, but all us interns will go shooting on Dec 22nd. Nice way to ring in x-mas, right? lol
So, I know that some of you girls are able to handle a weapon, so any tips or tricks for me?
As far as I know, we will be on an indoor shooting ranch and they will let us use "normal" police weapons, nothing big. And no...I have no clue what kinda weapons german police officers are using. lol
And before someone asks why lawyers go shooting, our prosecutor wants us to know how it feels to handle one, so we will have a better idea what especially police officers are talking about when we hear them as witness in court.
Not sure if I'm gonna like it or not...we'll see. Only think I worry about...will I get through custom control three hours after the shooting. lol That's when I wanna board the plane to my parents'. lol

Even though it feels weird until you get used to it, I was taught to hold the gun with the back of the handgrip snugged up against the webbing between the thumb & pointer finger, not against the thumb as you would naturally grab it...more stress on the joints of the thumb if you do it the other way.
That's interesting that they have you go shooting for that reason. Good idea!

Shooting was great! Seems I got natural talent, even though I could barely feel my arms after it. These guns are heavy! lol
At the end we were shooting at a Christmas Tree. Hit the star at the top right between the eyes. lol
