Tell me about it. It took me DAYS to get over the bootleg extravaganza that was Fictionista Weekend.
He teased us with the "I have a record in the can" remark last year, and then Jon turns around and drags them all back to the studio -- I think he doesn't want Richie putting out another record; then the band has to learn a second Richie song lol
Am I bitter? Yeah, I may just be.

A solo record is a long term commitment for Richie that would take him away from the band...Jon wouldn't want that. It would interfere with his plans...stay home for awhile then hit the road again working. Toxic Avenger is kinda doing the same thing. Don't get me wrong here as I am sure he likes their successes, but he still likes being the focal point...they need a few years off for a solo record to happen and I don't see that anytime soon.
Jon spent 26 mil on an apartment for goodness sake...it may be a drop in the bucket for him but a man who likes his green like he does...that is alot. He also has Steph going to college in a few years and Jon lives a high-end lifestyle who maintains several homes...cannot rest too long.
They haven't taken a long break since the Crush years...kinda speaks loudly if you get my meaning...
If I come off kinda grumpy, pls. forgive me...I am trying to proofread and make sure what I am trying to say isn't mean sounding but my 15yr old son just left on a class trip to Costa Rica this morning and I am kinda sad and teary eyes...attitude coming through.

Oh, I'm totally with you. I totally see Jon being all pissed off at David for the two broadway shows he has hitting NYC this year, and at Richie for moving on with his own art. I'm totally not surprised that Richie had to put his stuff on hold.
It's true testament to their friendship that Richie didn't tell him to f'k off.

I am glad that you understand what I was trying to say. Jon is fine but if Bon Jovi didn't have Richie then it would just be another alright band to me. Richie makes it for me. I love all his solo works. I have seen some of the live performances on yt and I get really irritated when whoever is recording the concert constantly has Jon on the screen...come on...where is Richie!! LOL, my preference is very obvious! Luckily, my hubby agrees with me. He swears that Bon Jovi is where they are today because of Richie...he isn't a Jon fan either...says he looks conceited most of the time, lol! That comment usually irritates our daughter as she is a Jonny lover
