First I want to say a great big THANK YOU to everyone for your kind words and warm thoughts. I talked to my dad today. He actually saw the thoracic guy today. So, there is good news. The PET scan didnt' show what they thought it would. Hardly any phosphoresence showed in his lungs. He's got lots of tumors and nodules, but they aren't popping as the "stage 4 cancer" they were afraid of. His docs want to wait two months, and re-scan (PET, CAT, and MRI) then see what's what. So we can live in our little corner of the state of Denial for a couple more months. One funny note out of all this.... Daddy got a note from his doctor saying he was radioactive, and likely to set off magnetic sensors in stores, airports, etc., and to please don't arrest him. It's priceless. He wants to get it framed  So thanks everyone, and I'm sure I'll be looking for more/continued prayers as we get closer to the start of June because it's WORKING! Love you girls ~ Hath |

I have good news!
Dad went back to his prostate cancer doc. When he was diagnosed last year, his cancer number was 6. He went through the radiation and his number now (1 year later) is a 2, which is nearly perfect. His doc says that for all intents and purposes he's cured of the prostate cancer! I have tears in my eyes, I'm so happy.
As for the lung masses, they're 90% positive he doesn't have lung cancer. The CAT scan showed that there are nodes in his lungs that are inflamed, but they don't think it's cancer, but some strange infection thing. They go to that doctor tomorrow.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all your prayers and good thoughts. If you could keep them going just a LITTLE longer, I'd be forever in your debt.

As a new soul here, I didn't know anything about this. But, yes, all now are fantastic news and as Lisamarie says, everyday is a gift, so open it every morning.

The lumps in his lungs ARE NOT CANCER!!!!! The docs think it's mucus pockets caused by his severe emphysema. He doesn't have to have another CT scan for 3 months, just to keep an eye on them to make sure they keep shrinking. The doc said that cancer does not shrink, and his have definitely shrunk. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts. The power of prayer is a wonderful thing. I love you girls |
