First class stamps are going up $0.02 effective May 11.
We just bought 200 "forever" stamps. That oughta hold us for a couple years or so lol

So, come May 11, it's going to cost $.44 to mail a little ole letter. Hmph. When I got married (many, many years ago) it cost $.45 to mail my big fat wedding invitations.
Gotta love inflation... LOL

LOL I remember those days, too. Oh, the good ole days of cheaper everything. Hath, I did the same thing and bought a bunch of forever stamps. GMTA! I also heard that they were wanting to cut back mail service delivery to 5 days a week from 6 to cut costs. That they were talking about they might either take out Tuesday mail service or Saturday. I haven't heard any updates of whether they decided to officially do this or not. Has anyone else heard any more about this? |

Consider yourselves lucky girls. Our postage goes up a cent a year on a regular basis...it's now $0.52 to send a letter.....and we don't get Saturday delivery.

Well, we pay 0,55 Euro...that's about 0,72 US Dollars for a letter...delivery monday till saturday and when you are lucky it only takes two days.
