Ladies, I need your help!

Some of you know that my ex (we're still very good friends) is in a band. The band is called Bombay Black. That's right, it's a real band....not just a fictional band for the TC/Jon story...lol.

Anyway, one of the local rock stations is having "Edgefest" next month. It's a big concert, and they are letting people vote for the local band they want to open the show. Yep, you guessed it Bombay Black is in there. Right now, they're winning, but not by much and the voting ends on Sunday night. You can vote once for each VALID email address. They will send you an email and your vote won't count until you click on the link in the email to validate your vote.

I'm not asking you to vote for someone without having heard any of their stuff....I am in the process of uploading some Bombay Black stuff to my inbox. So, you can go there and listen. Erik (my ex) is the lead singer and writes all their stuff...he's a hell of a musician....can play just about any instrument you put in his hands....and he looks good in a pair of leather pants too...lol.

just go to inbox.com log in info is below....click on "my music" and there's a folder labeled "Bombay Black" their stuff is in there. Thanks ladies!!

gail...they did some dates in the UK last year.....and if you click on their name on the vote site it will take you to a place where you can hear some more stuff and see some video from on of the UK shows.

It'll only let you vote again if you clear your cookies on your computer and use a different email addy....I found that out the hard way....lol

"Voting will be limited to one (1) vote per email address. Voting will end on April 26th at Midnight. The 10 bands with the most votes at the end of the local round will go on to face our final judges:

The panel of judges will not include anyone from Arknasas and no representatives from The Edge or the local music scene will make the final decision."

That's the part that means the most to Erik (my ex)...because the top ten will be heard by important people at big record labels....they were a signed band with Kivel Records....but they let their contract expire and are shopping for a new label.

Congratulations to our 10 finalists in the Local Battle Of The Bands to play Edgefest 2009. There were a lot of bands competing and a lot of Edgeheads voted over the last couple of weeks. The finalists will have their music judged by our industry panel which includes representatives from Reprise Records, Wind-Up Records, 10th St. Entertainment/Eleven Seven Music, and Interscope Records. We’ll give them a couple of days to review your submission pages and the music posted on them. We’ll announce the winner on Thursday at 5:20pm on this page and on the air.
