I took my son to a local fair this weekend, and he got an airbrushed-tattoo on his forearm. It came out really cool, but I think I aged about a decade when he asked for a giant dragon airbrushed onto his neck. ARGH! When did 8 become the new 18? As an aside, the thing smeared all to hell when we put sunscreen on him this morning, so I, being the great mama that I am, am looking at Henna places to I can take him for a replacement. I may get one, too

Hath, not to make you worry (like moms need anything else to worry about!), but be sure to ask that the henna place uses only body art quality henna and no added dyes - there's one called PPD commonly used in dark hair dyes that some less responsible henna artists add that can cause allergic reactions. This happened to a friend of mines teenage son when he dyed his hair black: www.hennaforhair.com/ppd/ppdreaction/ I dye my hair with BAQ henna because I'm allergic to PPD - check out this site: www.hennapage.com/henna/ppd/index.html There is a safe black temporary tattoo called Harquus: www.hennapage.com/henna/how/harquus/ Like I said, not to make you worry, but knowledge is power, yada yada. *G*

No, I appreciate it! I haven't done any research into it, and wouldn't let him get Henna'd at the fair where he got sprayed (mostly b/c he already got sprayed, now I'm glad he did!) He has issues with allergens -- a mosquito bite will swell up about an inch around from the bite site and turn red-hot for a day before fading.
There don't appear to be many henna parlors around here anyway. Oh well, the lick-n-stick ones will have to do! lol

Well, if you want to have some fun, the henna page I linked sells kits! I've played around with leftovers when I do my hair, it's pretty cool. *G*
